Cotton Court Hotel Lubbock, Texas
This upper-scale boutique hotel was designed to honor Lubbock’s historic cotton-producing culture. A mixture of separate two, three and four-story guestroom buildings combine for 169 keys.
Elements of this custom design include a replica of a 100-year-old, tin-roofed cotton gin or cotton exchange building that houses four stories of guestrooms. There are also multiple two-story guestroom buildings, a detached single-story building, containing ballrooms with an operable partition, a restaurant and covered patio. Each building carries a unique architectural style with special design features that include saw tooth roofs, exposed stairs, connecting exterior walkways and clerestory windows.
A variety of materials and cladding are utilized, including brick veneer, exposed heavy timber wood and metal siding. Hotel amenities include a rooftop deck, lobby/reception area, outdoor courtyard with swimming pool, gazebo and ground-floor fitness center.
