Cotton Court Hotel

Lubbock, Texas
Description

This new multi-structure “urban retreat” is located in Downtown Lubbock, Texas. The hotel’s concept honors Lubbock’s historic cotton-growing culture. The seven building complex surrounds a vast courtyard sporting elements of rustic farm heritage. A four-story cotton gin inspired building anchors one side of the complex and houses both interior and exterior-corridor guestrooms. All first-level courtyard rooms are pet-friendly with sealed concrete flooring. Multiple two-story guestroom buildings are topped with corrugated metal roofs. The project includes an edgy bar and pool area adjacent to a dance hall-style meeting space. At night, the complex’s back-lit corrugated perforated metal siding creates an inviting aura. The courtyard lighting, fire pit and water elements create a sense of place. There is also an on-site restaurant and bar.
