This adaptive reuse project was commissioned as a joint effort between the City of Fort Worth and the Fort Worth Housing Authority. It involved the redevelopment of and addition to a long-decayed, but historically significant 1925 fraternal lodge hall building into affordable living units.
One of the many design challenges involved the preservation of the front exterior brick facade. The building’s roof and second floor had collapsed into its interior, requiring bracing to shore-up the façade during the demolition of the rest of the building.
