Food Service

CFA 04796 – Destin

1021 Hwy 98, Destin, FL 32541

The Destin Chick-fil-A location a unique entry in Chick-fil-A’s portfolio as it is one of the tallest free-standing restaurants in their collection. Mayse & Associates worked in collaboration with Chick-fil-A and the City of Destin to meet the unique challenges of this area. To comply with the high-wind speeds of the area and the aesthetic requirements of the area, this restaurant was constructed of CMU block and designed in a Modern Farmhouse style.

The exterior of the building is clad in two different tones of stucco and boasts four towers with standing steam metal roofs. The exterior walls extend well above the roof so that the rooftop mechanical units can be screened from view. To provide shelter for the two meal delivery lanes, a porte cochere was constructed monolithically with the restaurant. The large indoor dining area provides guests with a place to enjoy their meal, while the kitchen and service area give employees a spacious place to prepare meals.

Architect Michael R. Mayse is proud to have architecturally supported Chick-fil-A with building a new Chick-fil-A restaurant to better serve the community of Destin. Whether guests prefer dining inside or picking up in the drive-thru, this location was designed to give guests a safe and peaceful dining experience.
